I want to start a fan club for every cat featured in a picture with Lenin.
I hear he refused to name his cat. I NEED TO KNOW WHY.
These cats need fanclubs.
He really refused to name his cat? WHY?
… Was it uncommon in Russia at the time to name cats? Was there a political motivation? Was it just a quirk of his?
I think it was just a quirk. Some people in the real world I’ve told have suggested that he didn’t want to get attached to it, but he seems pretty attached to his cat.
Imagine how great it would be like if some comrade comes to his dacha and they bring their kid and the kid is like “Hey mister, can I pet your cat?” So Lenin’s like “Sure, go for it.” Then the kid’s like “What’s it naaameeee?” to which Lenin replies “It doesn’t have one.” And then the kid’s just like “the fuck is wrong with this dude” but they don’t say anything because he looks really villainous and then he proceeds to provide some ridiculous ideological reason just to troll.
WHAT IF HE KNEW PEOPLE WOULD DEBATE IT IN THE FUTURE AND HE JUST DID IT FOR TEH LULZ.
Anyone who knows anything about communism knows that he didn’t name the cat because he didn’t own it. In a communist state there is no ownership. All people objects and cats are owned by the glorious mother russia.
